Our Services
Individual Therapy
We offer individual psychotherapy sessions that are grounded in evidence-based methods. Treatment may include cognitive behavior therapy, coping skills training, systematic desensitization, and exposure and response prevention.
Diagnostic Evaluations
Diagnostic evaluations for autism and ADHD are available for both children and adults.

We accept most commercial insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Independent Health, and Univera. If we are not in-network with your plan, you may be eligible for out-of-network reimbursement. We can provide you with a superbill.

Amy Jablonski, PsyD, BCBA-D
Dr. Amy Jablonski has served as president of The Summit Center since January 2024, overseeing the organization’s clinical and educational programs to ensure exceptional care and innovative services for individuals with autism and developmental disabilities. Under her leadership, The Summit Center has expanded its reach and impact, particularly in early intervention and behavioral health services.
Amy has held several leadership roles at Summit, including vice president of early intervention and education & behavioral health. Her career began as an educational consultant and psychologist at Summit Academy, followed by roles as director of the Early Autism Program, director of the Developmental Disabilities Clinic, and director of the Early Childhood Outreach Division. Throughout her career, she has led the development and implementation of effective treatment strategies for young children with autism.
Amy has collaborated on grant-funded research, co-authored a book on self-help skills, and mentored trainees. She earned her PsyD from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology and is a licensed psychologist and behavior analyst in New York State.
David Meichenbaum, PhD
Dr. Meichenbaum is a NYS-licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the diagnostic evaluation and treatment of developmental and mental health disorders. He is the clinical director of the Behavioral Pediatrics Clinic and the director of community consulting and clinical services at The Summit Center. Dr. Meichenbaum is a highly sought after consultant for school districts, offering practical behavioral and educational strategies that focus on the social, emotional, adaptive, and behavioral development of students with autism spectrum and disruptive behavior disorders. He graduated with his doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, and he completed his clinical internship at Duke University Medical Center.
Leslie Davies, PhD
Dr. Leslie Davies brings nearly 20 years of experience working with children, adults, and families. She earned her master’s in School Counseling and her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo, and her areas of expertise includes trauma-informed care, evidence-based treatment for emotional and behavioral disorders, autism assessment and treatment, ADHD, behavior modification, parent training, family systems, and attachment.
Dr. Davies has partnered with schools, healthcare providers, and community agencies to deliver coordinated, effective care, and she is well-versed in evaluating and supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, including navigating local resources. She takes a person-centered, collaborative approach to therapy, working alongside clients to tailor treatment to their unique needs. Dr. Davies is especially passionate about supporting youth and families, with experience spanning school-based work, crisis intervention, foster care assessment, and parent training programs.
Through her commitment to creating a safe, inclusive space, Dr. Davies ensures that clients and families feel heard, supported, and actively involved. Outside of work, she enjoys painting, making jewelry, listening to music, exercising, and spending time with loved ones and her Pomeranian, Bear.
Emily Watts, PhD
Dr. Emily Watts is a NYS-licensed school psychologist specializing in the identification and support of neurodiverse development in children and adults. She began her career working with families of children with developmental disabilities as a community-based behavioral specialist for several years, and then she decided to further her professional skills by earning her doctoral degree in School Psychology at Syracuse University in 2024.
In addition to conducting diagnostic evaluations at the Behavioral Pediatric Clinic, Dr. Watts is a school psychologist with a local school district and an adjunct professor at the University at Buffalo teaching graduate students about assessment in the clinical field.
Candace Werder, PhD
Dr. Candace Werder is a NYS-licensed psychologist with specialized expertise in the assessment and treatment of childhood developmental, learning, and behavioral concerns. She earned her PhD in School Psychology from Syracuse University, where she received advanced training in evidence-based assessment and intervention.
Dr. Werder provides comprehensive behavioral consultation and therapy services for children and adolescents, working closely with families and schools to support meaningful, lasting progress. Her work includes conducting social-emotional assessments, psychoeducational evaluations and re-evaluations, and developmental evaluations for preschool- and school-aged children. Dr. Werder is committed to a collaborative, team-based approach to care. She partners with parents, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure that evidence-based practices are consistently applied across settings, helping children build the skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and in the community.
