BFFs (Building Friendship Fridays)
Is it hard for your child to make friends? Let us help.
The goal of Building Friendship Fridays is to help your child build long-lasting and meaningful relationships. By participating in activities like bowling and playing games at an arcade, your child will have the opportunity to interact with their peers in different social settings. Friday nights should be fun!
A variety of activities are offered on Tuesday and Friday nights to accommodate individual interests. To participate, individuals should be able to hold and manage their own money with minimal assistance.
Eligibility
Here's how to determine your eligibility:
- Must be eligible under the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD)
- 16 – 25 years of age
- Must be ambulatory and self-toileting
- Additional behavior eligibility criteria apply
